He knows the idea of God but has not personally met/experience Him. In one of our worship service, the worship leader encourages all to raise our hands and when my friend raised his hands, God touched him immediately and he started sobbing. When I asked him about it, he said he wanted to see if God is real, that's why he raised his hand as a response that he wants to meet God. I guess God responded to my friend's desire.
