June 2009 Meeting
Our second NZ Worship Network gathering for the year was on Tuesday June 23 and despite the cold winter weather and the swine flu (!!!) we had an awesome turnout from worship teams representing over 20 different churches from Auckland and outlying areas.
The evening commenced with worship lead by Libby Huirua, Isaac Graham (Worship Pastor at Equippers Church Auckland) and a great band made up of different church team leaders! Again there was a real sense of the need to breakthrough in many different areas in people’s lives – we prayed for people who were battling with sickness and there was a tangible sense of God’s presence as people reached out in faith and claimed their victory over what the enemy was trying to burden them with.
Pastor Wayne Huirua preached a very powerful word on standing up and fighting for our rights as priests and worship leaders of our congregations. So much victory is being stolen from us and we must be reminded of who we are and who we represent as the church of God! A video of his message is attached and I know this word will bless you greatly – please feel free to use it as a teaching resource for your teams.
As usual the evening finished with supper and lots of great connection – there is such a great atmosphere of support and unity building among churches and we really want to see this develop throughout the nation!
Watch this space and please spread the word of this website to whoever you feel will benefit from it!
God bless!
