March 2009 Meeting

The first gathering of the New Zealand Worship network for 2009 was a great night – around 80 people gathered from approximately 25 different churches and had a phenomenal night of worship, teaching and chatting, accompanied by delicious supper and of course….coffee!!!

Pastor Libby Huirua of Equippers Church taught a message based on Ezekiel 37 (see attached video), and encouraged the attendees to see past their current perceived reality – the things that can so often trap us, weigh us down, and stunt our growth in Him – and see what God is wanting to do in those situations. Too often we accept where we are at rather than pushing through to a greater level of faith and God-perception and consequently miss out on what God is wanting to do in and through us at a deeper level.

As church music team leaders and pastors, we have to lead ourselves first and in doing so,  forge the way for our teams and congregations to follow. The beauty of these NZ Worship Network nights is they provide a chance to connect and share with others walking the same journey, a chance to be refreshed and encouraged, and a chance to be ministered to personally!  It’s all good!!

The next NZ Worship Network night will be held on Tuesday June 23, at the Mercury Theatre in Auckland City.  If you are reading this and not currently on the database, but would like an invite and more information, please contact us and give us your details!  We’d love to see you there!
